I am both happy and a little sad this week.  I am happy, because I am almost finished with my homework and classes for this semester. I need a break.  I am not so happy about school being over.  I think that I am one of the few people who really enjoy being in school. I know that even after I finish my degree in May, I will probably continue to take a class at least once a year.
Right now I am trying to find a internship position for next semester.  I found out that when I called the different offices, I was using the wrong word. Silly me.  Instead of asking if they had an internship position open, I should have been asking to volunteer. Since it is called internship here at school, I thought that was what I was supposed to ask for.
How crazy is it that just a different word can make all the difference in the world.  I know that the words you say are important to others.
I learned this first hand when I was involved in my head-on car accident in 2007.  I kept remembering on that day the last words I said to my oldest son were not very nice. I now try very hard to say something nice whenever we part. So remember your words due count both in the office and personally!
