Words, Words
I am both happy and a little sad this week. I am happy, because I am almost finished with my homework and classes for this semester. I need a break. I am not so happy about school being over. I think that I am one of the few people who really enjoy being in school. I know that even after I finish my degree in May, I will probably continue to take a class at least once a year.
Right now I am trying to find a internship position for next semester. I found out that when I called the different offices, I was using the wrong word. Silly me. Instead of asking if they had an internship position open, I should have been asking to volunteer. Since it is called internship here at school, I thought that was what I was supposed to ask for.
How crazy is it that just a different word can make all the difference in the world. I know that the words you say are important to others.
I learned this first hand when I was involved in my head-on car accident in 2007. I kept remembering on that day the last words I said to my oldest son were not very nice. I now try very hard to say something nice whenever we part. So remember your words due count both in the office and personally!

Sick, Sick, Everybody Got Sick
This last week started out with our puppy Finn (you know who Finn is) being sick. Then I got sick. YUCK! Next Daisy Mae (my brindle frenchie) got sick. Then, Oscar (my husband), Mathew (my son), and Becca (my daughter) all got sick. Finally, as of Saturday, Maggie and Angel ( two more of our Frenchies) got sick.
I know that people and dogs can not share the same virus, but it sure feels that we all shared the same thing. As of today, Finn, Becca, Matthew, Oscar, Daisy Mae, and I are mostly back to normal. Hope that this stops now. We only have 2 more Frenchies to go.
